Rui Trindade is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences (FPCEUP) and integrated member of the Centre for Research and Intervention in Education, where he co-chairs the Pedagogical Teaching and Innovation research and teaching group. He also co-chairs the Evaluation and Public Policies in Education strategic area at CIIE. He is he Portuguese representative at the Governing Board of the Centre for Educational Research and Innovation (CERI) of OECD. He is the chairperson of the Scientific-Pedagogical Council of Continuing Education of the Ministry of Education. He is a member of the advisory team to the National Curricular and Organisational Flexibility and Autonomy Programme from the Ministry of Education, a key pilot-experience being developed in 230 schools´ clusters across the country. Rui Trindade was appointed by the Ministry of Education as a member of the Council of the National Institute of Educational Evaluation (IAVE). His research includes pedagogical and didactic innovation, epistemology and curriculum studies, pedagogy of higher education, teacher education. He has been investigator on a number of externally funded research.
